I WORK FOR US!

I am running for the local Council in Ward 8 out of my concern about the pace of growth, a lack of coherent urban design and an eroding Town identity.  I live, work and shop in ward 8.  Therefore, I experience whatever you experience.  Our interests are aligned.

I live just off of Scott near Derry Road with my wife of 9 years, three children and two cats.  I think the Town Council, as talented as it is, often gets too focused on trees to be able to see the forest.  Milton needs to manage its growth so it grows into a city while maintaining the character and charm we have come to love.

As a resident I successfully petitioned the Region of Halton to expedite the underpass construction on Derry.  I also sit in the Milton Transit Advisory Committee and represent Milton in Halton’s Inter-municipal Committee on Sustainability.  As a councillor, if elected, I promise to be: accessible, transparent and representative

I believe the town can really benefit from my experience.  Milton can turn itself into a city people pay a premium to move to, rather than a town people live in because they cannot afford a home in other cities like Mississauga or Oakville.  For that it needs proper urban planning, it needs to attract businesses and it needs smart policies that keep tax rates low and property values high.

Thank you for considering my candidacy.  If you do not find what you were looking for then please feel free to contact me. I reply to every e-mail.
