What makes a town home?

IMG_0680[1] Towns die out when they force newer generation to move out of town.  Does Milton have enough starter rental units for kids just moving out of home?

Towns miss out when they force their long-time residents to move out as they look to downgrade. Does Milton have enough smaller bungalows with no stairs where our seniors could live comfortably?

These two segments of the market are currently underserved in Milton.  Because of our development charges structure, we inadvertently encourage builders to build the largest house they can on the smallest piece of land possible.

My dream for Milton is a town where my children stay as they grow up; where they can have good, promising careers; where I can retire and downgrade as I become an empty nester; where my parents can move to (currently they refuse since they cannot find a lot of small and affordable bungalows without stairs in Milton).

You cannot just build McMansion singe-family homes and call it a town.  In order for it to be home, it has to be home for the entire family through all stages of life.
